Yes, but did you notice that in Office2000 Microsoft goes away from the
Multiple Document Interface? Now you have seperat windows.

Microsoft isn't a good example for UI design, but I know they worked
hard the last 3 years to improve the UI (look at Explorer 5.0) - now
they drop the MDI, which has reasons :-)

I worked some time ago with macs (teaching internet...) and noticed,
that most people have problems that the apps stay in memory.
