That's weired. I've had another problem: Mails become unusable, after I 
read them, no matter if they were unread or not. Restarting KMail 
always helped, but the mails I've tried to read got lost. I can't 
reproduce this behaviour and it occurred to me just three or four 
times. Don't have a clue where to start searching.
