In Portuguese, the first example would be "Podes usar o Basket para...".  
Application names do not get translated, only program descriptions.

Take for example Noatun (I know I used it as an example already), which is 
Norse; or Unsermake or Meinproc, which are both combinations of German and 
English.

But the program description for Noatun, "Media Player", is translated.
