Clean up the panel - I agree
Put a word beside kmenu - I agree
The gnome layout style is great - I agree
[...] - I agree
Put kmenu in the upper left corner - hmm, well...I don't know. I think joe 
user will rather expect it in the lower left corner and many like it in that 
place. I could suggest a poll at kde-look, sometime. Anyway, the gnome layout 
style could be made an option in kpersonalizer.  So everyone will be happy, 
yes? :)

If you like, you can write a mail to the kmenu developers and ask about kmenu. 
Mayby its easy and not a lot of work.
