What "KDE" does he wants to build?

Building any reasonable KDE-hosted project is very simple:

git clone someurl
cd somedir
mkdir build
cd build
cmake .. -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/some/path/my/user/can/write
read errors you get and fix them
cmake again
make
make install

After the last step you may need to set some env vars to point to 
/some/path/my/user/can/write
