I tried my hand at setting up something similar for the newsgroup gateway (run
by Chris). The troubles were as follows:
1. Treating commits to /: Solved this by copying to all modules which had the
directories listed in X-KDE-Directories or some such.
2. Replies to commits to multiple modules: This is hard and unsolved. This
requires some discipline and some help from the server.
Server Part: Add lists for all concerned modules to reply-to header
Discipline: Use "reply-to-all" rather than "reply"
3. For some reason, our procmail script still does not pick up replies to
commits, but I suspect this is a bug in my code.
I strongly support breaking up the KDE CVS mailing list per module. Like Capsi
mentioned, I nuked all i18n, games and edu before I unsubscribed for lack of
bandwidth.
Regards,
Ravi
