Subject: [kde-redhat-users] FC6 + KDE 3.5.5 Cups problems
Message: 1
Hello,
Kde control center / Priner Configuration is not able to communicate with and
see the cups service.
While the service is up, I was able to configure the printer via cups web
interface (http://localhost:631) and via fedora's printer configuration tool.
After that point, Kde was able to communicate with cups and *see* the printer,
but was not able to do any thing beyond that; wasn't even able to set as the
default printer.
On all the problems above I was getting a generic error message indicating
that the operation has failed to complete.
Thank you for your help.
- Kefah.

Hello,
Kopete is not maintaining the chat history, despite the fact its plugin is
enabled.
Could this be a kopete bug?
Best,
- Kefah.

I built this just fine on fc6 also.

This works for me on FC5. It wasn't working before, but it works now. I went
into Settings-Configure Plugins, disabled the History plugin, and clicked OK.
Then I went back into the Configure Plugins and re-enabled it.

Excellent news.. I have now done a fresh install of FC6 and will be grabbing
kde-redhat-3.5.5 after this Email :)

Cool, everything reported by me (FC4 > FC6 upgrade) is fine with the standard
FC6, it is/was really a puzzle what was going on..
Also bug :- http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129161 seems OK.. Fedora's
3.5.4 must of had the patch applied..
Cheers,
Colin
