Please don't do this.

I use four different languages on computers regularly. All of them 
left-to-right.
However, if I was using a right-to-left and changing to a left-to-right (as I 
imagine that, for example, immigrants who come from Arab countries here in 
Austria and use a computer in German at work might do - don't rely on the 
ability to change the language, one might not have enough access rights to 
install a language package, for example), I wouldn't want these type of 
things to change.

Consider adding an arrow. I attach a picture showing what I am talking about. 
Of course, you can draw a better arrow than me in one minute of GIMP ;)

(Anyone using a RTL language care to comment on this proposed arrow-solution?)

I agree. Especially it is nice to have side-by-side properties like image 
size. Much better for a good comparison overview.
