I guess I waited long enough for a reply. The submitter didn't reply 
yet but as the problem is most likely caused by the fact that KMail 
doesn't support PGP/MIME I close this bug report now.

Hello Kmail developers,

I use kmail in combination with gnupg. Sending an encrypted and signed message works \
without any problems. However, when I receive an encrypted message, kmail shows an \
attachment icon. When I click on the icon, kmail shows (in some editor) the encrypted \
message. The newer version of kmail, bundeled with kde 2.2beta1 has the same problem. \
The former version of kmail (v1.1.99) worked fine. After receiving an encrypted \
message, a dialog box popt up for asking the passphrase.

Did I miss something or do I something wrong or is this a real bug?
