I guess I waited long enough for a reply. The submitter didn't reply 
yet but as the problem is most likely caused by the fact that KMail 
doesn't support PGP/MIME I close this bug report now.

Hello Kmail developers,

I use kmail in combination with gnupg. Sending an encrypted and signed message works without any problems. However, when I receive an encrypted message, kmail shows an attachment icon. When I click on the icon, kmail shows (in some editor) the encrypted message. The newer version of kmail, bundeled with kde 2.2beta1 has the same problem. The former version of kmail (v1.1.99) worked fine. After receiving an encrypted message, a dialog box popt up for asking the passphrase.

Did I miss something or do I something wrong or is this a real bug?
