Hm, I use OpenSUSE 11.2 and I get nothing when i enter "akonadi" in alt-f2.
I've found another solution now: GCALDaemon
http://www.terminally-incoherent.com/blog/2007/10/11/howto-two-way-sync-
between-kontact-and-gcal/
Looks like a good way too.
