Subject:    [Quanta] Is anyone using Quanta in with Arabic or Hebrew?!

I'm using KDE 3.3.2 with Arabic language (right to left) and I'm
experiencing a funny behavior with a number of editor apps such as
Quanta, Kate and Kwrite when using mixed Arabic and Latin text (bidi).
The problem is that the application loses track of the cursor position,
so the characters get entered at a point different than the visible
cursor position.

I reported this bug to KDE bugs under number 106509
(http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106509) but got no feedback. This
bug seems to be caused by a line editor widget common to these
applications.

I'm posting here to ask if anyone is using any of these applications
with Arabic or Hebrew, and wheather they are getting this buggy
behavior?! It could be that this issue is resolved under kde 3.4, so
I'm also interested in knowing if anyone is using these apps under the
newer kde.
