Only .txt (or text) files give me converter problems.  Word, Internet 
and other files seem to open easily.

I don't know if it's related, but if I go to Tools > Options > 
Load/Save and select HTML, OOo crashes with an unrecoverable error -- 
no error message at all.  I've seen no help or even suggestions for 
either issue.  Both happened after getting an upgraded java file (1.4), 
but happen whether I load java or not.
