Subject: [Kwrite-devel] Bug#36487: HTML code breaks search dialog
From: gaute () verdsveven ! com

Package: kwrite
Version: KDE 2.2.2
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified
If I search for a piece of text in a document where that text doesn't exist, I get an \
error dialog saying something like 'Couldn't find "text"'.
If the text I search for is a piece of HTML code, like <h2>, that text is not \
displayed but instead used to format the dialog text.
'Dangerous' characters like < and > should be replaced by the safe HTML entities < \
and > before being displayed in the dialog. I guess this applies to any HTML \
formatted dialog that may receive arbitrarily formatted text.

Gaute Hvoslef Kvalnes
