If the text I search for is a piece of HTML code, like

, that text is not displayed but instead used to format the dialog text. 'Dangerous' characters like < and > should be replaced by the safe HTML entities < and > before being displayed in the dialog. I guess this applies to any HTML formatted dialog that may receive arbitrarily formatted text.
