Subject:    Still about QEvent::AccelOverride

I'd like to take advantage of this bug report to raise my concerns about
the AccelOverride solution once again :}

We can't know which bindings are going to be associated to menu items (accels)
in advance. The user can choose that.
So we can't use AccelOverride in the widget - Qt would have to make that the default
for any form of key processing, instead of the keypress event.

I think another solution is needed. Any keypress that the widget knows about,
show be handled by the widget, before it has a chance to activate an accel.

Maybe QAccel shouldn't react to a normal key event, but to some event sent _after_
the key event (whereas AccelOverride is sent _before_ the key event, which doesn't \
help).

Subject: Bug#30070: Redefined navigation keys cannot be used to fill HTML forms
Date: 31 Jul 2001 14:51:25 -0000
From: lehto.tomi@kolumbus.fi
To: submit@bugs.kde.org

Package: konqueror
Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 2.1.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from:    Debian Packages
Compiler:          Not Specified
OS:                Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

I have renefined the key bindings in Konqueror so that the `Z' key is Back and the \
`X' key is Forward. When I go to a web page that has a text field in it (i.e. \
google.com), and type Z or X letter in the text box Konqueror takes them as \
navigation keys and goes a page back or forward.
