My guess is that I fixed it after beta1 then :)
Thanks for updating. Closing the bug.

Package: konqueror
Version: KDE 2.2.0 Beta1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Debian Packages
Compiler: gcc-2.95.4
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: debian unstable; 2.4.6 kernel

i start up konqueror for the first time and the window opens up at the default size \
showing info about konqueror. i maximize the window, and then save the view profile \
"Web Browsing" i make sure to check the field that remembers window size. i close \
konqueror and restart it, only to find the window size is not retained in the \
profile. i checked the file $HOME/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/profiles/Web\ Browsing \
and it shows that the window size should be full screen (Height=744 Width=1016) i \
even tried changing these values manually, which did nothing. i moved the profile to \
see if it would help by having konqueror create a new one, but it didn't. this \
feature worked great for me in KDE 2.1.1.
