Hmm, you used the default value in slotDefaults(), but not when reading from
the config file. You need to use it there too (instead of oldAutoSaveValue = 1,
and then use oldAutoSaveValue as the default value when reading from the config
file - see kword's kwconfig, that's where your code comes from anyway :-)
