So, to rehash, you mean that its possible for apps to create a document that 
has zIndexes such that the difference between having global and having local z-
indices makes the hierarchy show up different.
If an application which don't honor the stacking-concept of layers shows the 
attached doc, it shows the plus between the two other shapes while the other 
two shapes are in a layer of their own.

The only reason to discuss this issue is if we agree that thats a valid 
usecase. I agree its possible to create this in OODraw. Though painful to do. 
But is it a valid usecase? I would say no, its a bug in OODraw and not a bug 
we want to support in KOffice.

What do others think?
