Hi
I'll not comment on problems existing because of shortcomings of the XMLGUI...

So if we are at fine-tuning things, to just mention relatively simple ones:
1. Fit Page Width combo is present in two places: toolbar and the statusbar
2. The width of the sidebar can be decreased by implementing the
layout's spacing a bit more carefully.
3. An easy one: ask someone nontechnical what "Tool options" means;
4. Since there are named tabs, I believe the titles are not necessary
on the dockers (possible shortcoming of the docking API is another
story). Moreover "Styles" label is used in 3 places...
5. Bold/Italic/etc. icons are hard to read (it's gray-on-gray
problem), moreover these seem to be overdesigned. A kind request to
the Oxygen Team: let's consider having them black which is the default
QPalette::WindowText color, without reinventing the wheel. I consider
any such issue as rather important, yet easy to fix in early enough.
6. "Page x/y" -> "Page x of y" in the statusbar
