Whether it's implemented using koproperty or WINAPI or Flake or
FooBarMetaProgramming, it does not matter, the proposal is about functionality
so do not use the points from a different thread.
The fact is that Konqueror-like bloat makes people feel lost (e.g. the the
bloated QLayouts still cannot be displayed on my 1280x800 screen, BTW). Adding
cascading modal dialogs is not an option for me. I try to remove most of
dialogs anyway.
Look at Linux forums how people have trouble locating even simple settings
because these are covered by nearly useless options.
Regarding Stefan's note, it's even better to have the about:config GUI highter
in the KDE hierarchy, so apps with more complex settings can also take
advantage of that.
