I think we talked about a separate process, not a separate thread. :o)
(A crash in a thread would still crash the whole app)

Alan, I thought you were the one who was worried forking would be too 
expensive?

Personally, I don't think it would be (although, I have no evidence to base 
that opinion that on, what-so-ever).  It's not like I import so frequently 
that performance is a huge issue.

Someone with clue, please advise.
