That is not quite the problem, If you think that you need a string: good.

But normally tests are only for developers and hacks (like the debug keys in 
KWord) are in final also for developers. So if such things were translated, 
it does not help much, as they need to be translated back. (So for such 
things, you can help the translators by not having these strings to 
translate.) (That also the same reasons why kdDebug strings are not 
translated.)
