power users and programmers may very well see the similarities. to the 
majority of users, hierarchical file systems are very abstract and difficult 
to use. trying to use such a concept as a metaphore for another task (picking 
clip art from a list) is really pushing the envelope.

metaphores are supposed to be simpler/more obvious, not more difficult and 
obtuse =)
