greetings!

went one subdir after another and got most of koffice to compile and
install. nice work, guys!

one item of concern is screen font handling in kword. because there's
no way to zoom the thing up to substantial size -- i'm running at
1280x1024 -- the default is too small to be of much use. and picking
a bigger font for ease of visibility shows that they don't display
all that well, best i can tell. which brings to mind a possibility,
just in case it's of interest to anyone. one of the many unfinished
-- and, best i can tell, abandoned -- linux X word processors was a
thing called maxwell, which i bring up because it handled screen fonts
better than anything i've seen on any platform. its little rendering
engine was simply amazing.

it's gpl'ed, i believe, so it could be that a perusal of that part of
the code could provide something useful toward the kword project.
