Wow, that really surprises me. Few applications can be tagged as "more or less
completed". And last time I tried (about a month ago), kformula still lacked
the support for OpenDocument, which I suppose is a must have for 1.5. And the
generated MathML has the problems I mentioned (some basic functions, as
limits and trigonometric, doesn't exist, so it seems that "sin" is "s·i·n",
which has a very different MathML output).

Thank you for the info. Maybe I should have mentioned that I already lurk
koffice-devel since a few months, and I use to compile many KDE modules from
SVN when they are close to a release, so I don't have to wait for
packagers. :) I'm comfortable with the development procedures, especially, in
KDE (svn, make, auto*, etc.), so don't worry about that.
I was more concerned about the parts that are more koffice specific, like the
koffice libs and macros, the embedding, the workspace, etc.
There is a lot of code in the koffice subdirectory, but if you really think
it's possible to do some stuff without reading most of it, I can try during
the winter holidays.
