Summary: more standard actions across koffice, Z order Arrange
                    items, Grouping, and possibly others
           Product: koffice
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: koffice kde org
        ReportedBy: horkana maths tcd ie

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

The biggest strength of Koffice over other suites in my opinion is the tight \
integration between both the componet applications and KDE at large so I'm \
essentially suggesting even more intergration. I think standardised components are \
also a great way of helping to improve all applications at the same (so poor \
neglected Karbon will get some help at no extra cost and generally make maintaince of \
all componets easier in the long run.)

Karbon has the following menu items for Arrange
Object,
  Order,
    Bring to Front
    Raise
    Lower
    Send to Back

Kivio has
Format
  Send to Back
  Bring to Front

KPresenter has
Format
  Arrange Objects
    Lower Objects
    Send to Back
    Bring to Front
    Raise Objects

If this was implemented carefully Krita could potentially reuse exactly the same \
items for Arranging its layers. More potential standard Actions include Group and \
Ungroup. The Align and Distribute items could probably be standardised too. \
