Hmm????

You said you have debian. You can type about 10 commands and have a new
version of KOffice, (and qt and kde)

As I said; go to the DEBIAN PART of the link placed below.
It points you to a FAQ on
	http://davidpashley.com/debian-kde/faq.html
where you can find answers on how to get the new versions the debian way.
Which is the easies way there is !
