BTW they all restart at 1 over and over if a blank line is inserted

it migth also be kword which handles blank lines between enumarations 
differently (SHIFT+ENTER) from msword where the enumaration can also be 
(visualy) removed with BACKSPACE, as well as with shift+enter.

I attach a testfile MSword with enumeration method we use almost always in 
word documents to get a nice structure.
