Hi,
I'm using KWord 1.2 rc1 (was using Beta 2 when this problem
started), on KDE 3.0.2, on RH 7.1 with kernel 2.4.18.

I have been using KWord for a while for a big dissertation I'm
doing , and found its great. The spell checker was working and
then last week it suddenly couldn't be found by KWord.

The message suggested ISpell wasn't in my PATH. I checked, and
found it is, and aspell is also in my PATH. The actual message
is:

ISpell could not be started.

Please make sure you have ISpell properly configured and in your
PATH.

I quick test on the command-line running "ispell -v" gives this:

@(#) International Ispell Version 3.1.20 (but really Aspell
.33.7.1 alpha)

So why can't kword find ISpell or ASpell for spell checking?
What could I have done to stop it working? I can't remember
doing anything that should have affected it - except maybe
just looking at the settings for spell checking in the Configure
KWord menu option.

Rob
