Besides that, once installed no-one sees the difference...  If it gets 
installed with the rest of koffice, the less mature apps are at least being 
explored.  Perhaps that the maturing apps can be marked in kmenu with beta, 
alpha?  Something like

office -> kword
          kspread
          kontour (beta)
          .... (alpha)

or
office -> kword
          kspread
          --------
          beta apps (this is sub-menu title, as that possible?)
          kontour
          kprese..
          ---------
          alpha appss...
