Yeah, sorry about that. :-(  I hadn't realized just how different IMAP was 
from a "normal" folder when I was doing the code.  I (very naively) thought I 
could just move the code around without any (or just minor) negative effects. 
Oops!

Now I *did* test IMAP a bit.. but since I never use it, I only tried things 
like reading and deleting and that worked fine.

As for the deleted code, that was just an oversight.  I had to get rid of it 
early on in my conversion and never thought to bring it back... and since I 
didn't test that part, I never noticed it was missing!
