I have an upcoming patch in the next week or so that adds group addressbook
support to KMail, so that you can create groups and add to that alias users
from the addressbook or just an email address. And then when mail is sent
out, the user can type that name or can click on the To: button to get to the
addressbook selection which will also contain the group names. How mail
willl be sent to the users I'm not sure. Whether the composer win should
extract each email addy from the group list and add it to the To: list or
whether there should be added functionality to the sending of the mail where
if it sees a name that is a group it extracts each name then and sends it to
that email.

Anyways, just letting people know I'm also working on a group addressbook
design and UI.
