Besides word wrap and encoding I see at least a few other problems:
- - It does not use the configured font size.
- - The column and row display in the status bar does not work.
- - Unlike the other edit fields in the composer it doesn't have a frame.
- - There is to my knowledge currently no KTextEditor component available that
  supports right to left written text like Hebrew or Arabic which KMail's
  integrated editor based on QTextEdit does support already.
