Because we need to show them that we are _so amazingly good_ that we can 
interoperate even with the crazy people who write such horrible applications 
which don't put a From: field in their outgoing emails.

I think there should be a wishlist bug on this, titled "make kmail work with 
broken lotus notes", and then if someone who needs to get started on kmail 
wants to, they can fix it.  If they don't, they don't.  I certainly don't 
think any of you guys who are way good at this stuff should spend your time 
fixing this one.
