for this, there exists a filtering language called sieve. Some mail servers,

Actually I am trying to browse a directory with the
pictures already loaded.
Using kamera:/ with thumbnails enabled doesn't work
at all as the Powershot will not accept multiple requests
at the same time and it seems like the thumbnailing is
trying to parallellize the requests.
Would be a good idea not to do this in the "kamera:/"
scope BTW.

You should be able to see the same result with a directory
with an appropriate amount of pictures (?), no digicamera
needed.
If you want I could send you one of the failing pictures...

Thought struck my mind... Running of moving pictures around
Yep... The same picture will fail when copied into another directory too...

Okay, that was the important part :)
There is a limit of 1MB for thumbnail generation. For formats like PNG, GIF
etc. this might be rather low, for JPG, EPS and some others a 1MB file can be
gigantic (in image dimension). Some PNG files can be too, but that's less
often. Anyway, as there is no way to determine the image dimensions before
loading it completely with QImageIO, this limit serves to prevent excessive
memory usage. For KDE 3 this will be at least configurable, maybe there's
even a way to get the dimension info beforehand and limit the previews based
on image size, not just on filesize.
For now, you can raise the limit by editing ~/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc
(hope it's really that one...), section "PreviewSettings", value
"MaximumImageSize", in bytes.

Hi,

maybe it's just some option I can't find to select, but I'm having trouble with \
konqueror while testing my php-scripts.

I use php sessions w/o modifications and so I link a document with itself. Even the \
simplest counting up example isn't counting beyound 3. Clicking on reload works fine, \
but using the link inside my output nothing seems to happen. Apparently, there's not \
even an http request at all.

Maybe this problem is caused by some other element than your kio-slave. In this case \
I'm sorry for bothering you.

Better thumbnail support for kamera is being worked upon AFAIK.
Hope I'm right it was you, Ilya? Do you have any idea about making sure not to
parallelize requests? Actually kio_thumbnail shouldn't do that, but I don't

Reminds me of the meta data support for an alternative thumbnail URL you asked
for; will finally look into this.

For example, in barrapunto.com, in many links goes to:

when it must go to http://barrapunto.com/comments.pl?sid=01%2F09%2F27%2F23292...
it's only konqueror. mozilla, lynx, links and netscape have no problem
