Actually I am trying to browse a directory with the pictures already loaded. Using kamera:/ with thumbnails enabled doesn't work at all as the Powershot will not accept multiple requests at the same time and it seems like the thumbnailing is trying to parallellize the requests. Okay, that was the important part :) There is a limit of 1MB for thumbnail generation. For formats like PNG, GIF etc. this might be rather low, for JPG, EPS and some others a 1MB file can be gigantic (in image dimension). Some PNG files can be too, but that's less often. Anyway, as there is no way to determine the image dimensions before loading it completely with QImageIO, this limit serves to prevent excessive memory usage. For KDE 3 this will be at least configurable, maybe there's even a way to get the dimension info beforehand and limit the previews based on image size, not just on filesize. For now, you can raise the limit by editing ~/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc (hope it's really that one...), section "PreviewSettings", value "MaximumImageSize", in bytes. -- Malte Starostik PGP: 1024D/D2F3C787 [C138 2121 FAF3 410A 1C2A 27CD 5431 7745 D2F3 C787] has caused the attached bug report to be marked as done.
