Thanks for your reply.  Fortunately, I have just installed opeSuse and the
PDA does not contain any data. So, I do not have anything to loose. On the
down side, I'm a real Linux newbie ... I'm trying to be a "reformed windows
user". So, I take it that I can upgrade KDE and KPilot using YaST. But, to
be honest, I'm not sure how to go about that. Any help along that line would
be greatly appreciated. My assumption was that a new install would have
installed the most up to date packages but, apparently not.
