Maybe with the backup... This is not my main concern at the moment,
since I might also get that done directly using pilot-link.
Additionally there are possibilities to do a backup with Palm tools to a SD card like \
e.g. NVBackup (http://sourceforge.net/projects/handypalmstuff/, \
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=92189&package_id=186018) (cmp. \
http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review/nvbackup_palm_os_backup_software) InnerBackup \
(http://www.innersoftware.com/usa/products/innerbackup/) RFBackup \
(http://www.redfelineninja.dsl.pipex.com/software/rfbackup.html) BackupBuddy, and \
many more...

But how about the KOrganizer stuff?
AFAIK jpilot won't offer any synchronization possibilities here.
And I don't want to switch to the jpilot calendar application and leave KOrganizer \
behind, if it's avoidable.

I also had a short glimpse at KitchenSync \
(http://www.kontact.org/components.php#sync), which is part of Kontact.
(see also http://software.newsforge.com/article.pl?sid=05/12/07/1629211)
My first impression was, that this might be an interesting alternative in the \
future...

Hopefully the kpilot - pilot-link incompatibilities will be history soon.

Thanks for the comment,
