Hello,

I am having a bit of a frustrating time trying to get a treo 650 to synch with
KPilot. When the treo is connected by cable to my PC, it is detected
at /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1. I can set the username on the treo by using
the install-user command pointing to ttyUSB1

However, after having set up the details in KPilot it reports the following
errors:

Version: KPilot 4.4.5 (Augsburg)
Version: pilot-link 0.11.8
Version: KDE 3.3.1-3.3 Red Hat
Version: Qt 3.3.3

<qt>HotSync Log</qt>

<QT>KPilot has been reported to cause data loss. Please check with
kdepim-users@kde.org.</QT>

14:06:58 Starting the KPilot daemon ...
14:06:58 Daemon status is `not running'
14:06:59 Pilot device /dev/ttyUSB1 does not exist. Assuming the
device uses DevFS.
14:07:00 Trying to open device /dev/ttyUSB1...
14:07:00 Could not open device: /dev/ttyUSB1 (will retry)

Sometimes I get an error that /dev/tty/USB1 is not read/write (unfortunately I
cannot try it just now as I do not have the treo here.

Any pointers much appreciated. I'm using CentOS 4.3
