A couple of years worth of appointments :-)

I tried that, both PC->Palm and Palm->PC. What's weird is that syncing worked
until Sunday morning and stopped working that same night, without me
installing anything else in the meantime.

I am not worried about data loss as I have several backups of the raw data and
have tested them.

Actually I had been using the manual method. When it stopped working I tried
all sorts of things.

I will do that. Yesterday I cleaned up my system and reverted to a 2.6.15
kernel. I will try again with this, despite the erratic udev/usb behaviour,
and I will also try with a cleanly compiled 2.6.17 (the one I used from Edgy
broke my glibc). When I have a better grasp of what exactly does not work
and how to reproduce it, I will submit a bug report.

Thanks for the follow-up.
