I'm running redhat 5.2 with kde. I just downloaded koffice, unzipped untared
it. I cd to the koffice directory, which has a configure.in file in it. I do
autoconf in that directory, and it makes a configure file. However, when I
run the configure file, it complains it can't find the source files. I run
it again in other directories with .cc and .h files, but it gives the same
message. I put the koffice directories in /local on my system. I've had
trouble compiling other kde apps as well. I'm a linux newbie, like three
weeks now. So I don't have a clue as to what is going on. I like kde a lot,
but I must say installing kde apps that didn't
come with the original rpm package is an opaque procedure at best!
