Hi,

I've discover some possible problems with the debian packages for 1.1.1
( maybe its me ;o) Essentially kdebase is dependant on xdm, that is, kdebase
will not install unless xdm is installed. So, I had to install xdm to
install kdebase ... just one problem, I do not want xdm.

From /usr/doc/xbase/README.Debian on slink:

2) xdm ... are now in their own packages. They will start automatically on
boot if they are installed. If you do not desire this, remove the packages
before your next reboot. dpkg --remove xdm

Naturally, I cannot remove xdm, because "kdebase depends on xdm"

Any ideas, anyone ...

While I have to live with xdm ... How do I ( on debian 2.1 ) get xdm to
start kde by default. Also, how can I change xdm to kdm ?

PS. Please cc any replies to me directly ;o)
