That's a great idea, and it also eliminates the other problems like reordering 
if on a vertical toolbar.

To even more reduce the number of icons in the main toolbar one could place 
them in a better context. In KMail the "Previous/Next unread message" icons 
belongs to the mail list. So why not place them left of the quick search 
field, without any possible text underneath (simple arrows doesn't need text 
if presented in the right context, or at least less text).
