nice to see that you sent this on to kfm-devel list, Benoit. =))

as a thought to be extended as a general improvement to our mode of operation 
in kde-usability, it might be a good idea to provide a brief summary of the 
thread linked to in the email so as to make the developers lives a bit easier 
(and increase our chances of successful interface with them). thoughts?

Hi kfm-devel,

We have been talking on kde-usability about the way to select a view mode in
konqueror. Currently, we have several buttons for switching between view
modes. An alternative would be to use a single popup button that lists all
available modes (cf. View->View Modes submenu).

Many arguments were given for *and* against changing the current behavior,
 now we should decide which solution is the best (and therefore will be in
 the next KDE).
What's your opinion on it?
