I think you should write up a spec for the initial proposal: how to 
standardize the selections with single, double, and triple click on the 
mouse. More complex issues can be added into such a proposal later, or can 
be added as a separate proposal. Without regard to anything I said after the 
start, the proper behavior for single, double, and triple-click selection 
seems remarkably clear.

Unless someone disagrees with the previous suggestions in this thread. 
Anyone?
