Yes. Wizards should be avoided as much as possible. But...

Delete all your Kopete configuration files and start Kopete. It is not 
useful. You have to configure a lot of things first, so it doesn't 
make sense to show the main window. A configuration wizard for Kopete 
would be useful.

Please note that I'm against the change, and I still can't imagine why 
someone would like to use "Enter" to send messages (but I hardly ever 
send a one-line message through Kopete, so my opinion is not very 
relevant).

One should also take in account the fact that Kopete will never loose 
the ability to send multi-line messages, and as long as the message 
input field is a multiline widget, "Enter" can't be used as default 
shortcut. The discussion is not about what should be the default, 
because the default was already chosen and is unlikely to change. The 
discussion is about providing an easier way to change that setting, 
as it is not very clear for most users what should be done now in 
order to achieve that.
