looking in the sources in the makefiles there is a commented section 
which sets artswrapper to  mode 755, for suid I was wondering if anyone 
in the development team would re-enable the rule. even if you arrange to 
have artswrapper in a seporate sub-package  due to the 'possible' 
security risks. perhaps serporating suid programs fom the main package 
would be useful in security restrictive envionments. artswrapper is 
designed to be suid, if you are running as root then arts server doesn't 
need the wrapper.
