There was some discussion about this on the dot:

I posted the configuration which I use:

This is more Mozilla like in configuration and works with the current release -- it is a
real screen shot.

And I posted one that appears to be what others were advocating:

I did this with the CrystalSVG icons which I don't like and don't use -- I think that
since they are not as easy to recognize that they have a negative impact on usability.

This IE like configuration is NOT possible with the current release -- it is one of my
faked screen shots. To do this, two changes need to be made to the code:

1.	An additional tool bar needs to be added -- "Navigation Toolbar".

2.	The "Animated Logo" needs to be removed from the configuration and permanently placed
in the upper right corner. Note that this is not 100% needed, it could be on the right
end of the: "Navigation Toolbar". But, I think that that location is where people expect
it and with the current method, if you move a toolbar, the: "Animated Logo" goes with it.

The other changes are just changes to the defaults. Some stuff is moved from the: "Main
Toolbar" to the new: "Navigation Toolbar".

NOTE: it is necessary to have the small toolbar on the left of the screen be TWO toolbars
(like it is in my real Mozilla like configuration) because when additional options are
merged in it sometimes won't fit on the screen and changes to two side by side. The same
would apply if the user chose to have larger icons. If you have only one tool bar on the
left then it would need to be scrolled -- it goes off the bottom of the screen.

Naturally, I prefer the one which I use (the Mozilla like configuration), but since people
brought it up, I did a mock up of an IE like configuration.
