I dont think so. It is more logical to have 4, and the concept doesnt get any 
easier to grasp by reducing the number

No we are trying to produce the most _usable_ desktop possible, and our 
typical users are familiar with, and uses the commandline.. In fact _we_ are 
the typical users of KDE.  Dont start to make the same mistakes GNOME did; 
KDE is not a crusade, it's about being a powerful and useful desktop.
